DWC Sylt Vincent & Gunnar successful
At the last event stop of the German Windsurf Cup VOLVO SURF CUP 2008 on Sylt our North Sails newcomers Gunnar Asmussen and Vincent Langer showed great performance.
Gunnar took the 3rd place overall with one 2nd place in Slalom and one 4th place in Formula. In the final race of the Slalom event Gunnar Asmussen beats 13 times German Champ Bernd Flessner, which shows pretty good that Gunnar is on fire to finally take "Flessis" crown maybe next season already. Vincent took the 5th place with one 6th place in Slalom and one 3rd place in Formula.
This rewards Gunnar Asmussen with a great 2nd place overall in the DWC tour and Vincent Langer with a 4th place overall. Congratulations !
Gunnar Asmussen:
"I am overjoyed that I won the second place on the Island of Sylt. With this result I could also take the second place in the German Windsurf Cup ranking. All in all, these five days in Westerland were extremely hard for me, because I stood under heavy pressure. Now it is going on and I am looking for new challenges."
