DWC competition Fehmarn, Germany
The second Tourstop of the DWC (Deutscher Windsurf Cup) took place during the Multivan Surffestival in Fehmarn last weekend. The entire German windsurf elite was present and showed their skills. Bernd Flessner, who is proud holder of many German Champion titles already, dominated the race.
North Sails rider Gunnar Asmussen (GER 88, F2, North) from Flensburg, who started his comeback with this event after several years of abstinence, found straight back to the top and took place 4. Fabian Mattes (Ger 202, Starboard, North) went home with a 7th place after 2 very good but unvalued courses because of too low winds.
Besides the DWC competition, the supporting programme offered action at the Wulfener Hals. Visitors could test the current windsurf equipment of all brands, hunt autographes, attend rigging seminars and of course participate at the North Sails tablesoccer summer jam.
The 3rd tour stop of the DWC takes place from 09.-12. May in Norderney with the disciplines race, slalom and wave/frestyle.
