News from the Ventilo Show 2008 - Hyères/France - Oct. 28th to Nov. 4th





For its 5th edition, the best windsurfing gathering in South France went on pretty well, even if this year was a bit too rainy. But at least, we have had wind, 5/8 days! And what a wind: 2 great days with 35 to 45 knots East wind and 1 day of rare strong SW that brought great waves just on the beach of the test festival !!! This allowed the organisation to send on the same day, 1 long distance slalom competition (Cyril Moussilmani finished 3rd) and in the same time on the other side of the peninsula, a wave contest where Brawzinho, event's "godfather", won as a guest! This never happened on such an event: to run both waves and slalom at the same time!!! Of course, during the whole week, the tests of new 2009 equipment went on (people could discover in preview the new Warp F2009!) and we could have also runned 8 of the 10 amateurs challenges, such as the "Fanatic Ripper kids contest" open to kids less than 14 y.o. and runned with the new North Drive rigs.
