Canarian Wave Rider Tour, Tenerife: Orjan takes the title !

Our Norwegian Pozo rider Orjan Jensen (North Sails) just came back from the last tour stop of the Canarian Wave Rider Tour in Tenerife with another bullet in his pocket. This victory rewards Orjan with the overall win of the Second Reef Wave Rider Tour. Congratulations Orjan !

Orjan reports:
"I went to Tenerife with the Canarian waverider tour allready in my pocket but with motivation to allsow win the last event.
Arriving the beatch there were head high waves and I rigged up my north sail Ego from 4.5m2 up to 5.0m2.
Went into the water to try the condition and El medano gave me a good hour of sailing befor the contest starts, I was feeling confedent.

That day we sailed the hole singel elimination and I was passing heats all the way trought to the final.The final was a battle between me and a local sailor Walter Scotto.
After the final they gave us the result and ones more I was in the lead.




The dobble elimination started straight after.They got trought so there were only 8 sailors left in the dobble elimination, I was sitting in the final waiting.The next day the condition was not good enought to compeat, so spent the day tuning equipment and out riding some waves.The condition came back the last day and we continued, again I had to sail against Walter Scotto and again I managed to stay on the top. After the contest I went to climb Teide with its 3718 meters, its the highest mountain in Spain."
