Eric & Aleix Sanllehy won the Freestyle competition at Tarifa!!
The last long weekend start the third event of the Spanish Championship-08 in the discipline of Freestyle and Slalom at the beach of Tarifa.
(Aleix / Albert / Eric - North Sails Team)Very good inscription with 42 raiders in the start line and plenty people in the beach look the competition.
The weather condition were very good. At the Friday, Saturday and Sunday with sunny and good air temperature.
(Aleix)The first day of competition make two complete race of Slalom but the low training of Eric and Aleix only permitted arrive in the final classification in the 9th and 10th position.
The Saturday and Sunday the good wind permitted for sails of 4,7 and 4,5 make the Freestyle single and the double elimination.
(Eric)The first day of freestyle arrive to the final of single elimination Eric Sanllehy CAT-1111 (F-2 / North Sails) in first position, Ramon Pastor E-74 (Tabou/Gaastra) in second and Aleix Sanllehy CAT-555 (F-2 / North Sails) in third.
But the Sunday in the double elimination Aleix CAT-555 can make a new battle with Ramon Pastor E-74. In this heat Aleix sailing much more aggressive that the last day and with his very good manoeuvre's he up two second position.
The big final into the brothers Sanllehy are Epic with a plenty beautiful manoeuvre's, Flakas, Flaka-Diablo, Clew Firts Puñeta, Switch tance Slider, Aleixus, Air Flaka, Double Spock, Grubby etc.
The Freestyle podium:
1.- Eric Sanllehy CAT-1111 ( F-2 / North Sails)
2.- Aleix Sanllehy CAT-555 ( F-2 / North Sails)
3.- Ramon Pastor E-74 (Tabou/-Gaastra)
They explain,after the final,to the local TV :
Eric : "Really, really happy!!!! My final was really good, I competed with my brother Aleix."
Aleix :“ I’m pretty happy, I’ve been training a lot for waves and freestyle in these last winter. I know that I need much more training in Slalom!!!!.
