Eric Sanllehy wins "Mas Pinell X Tram '08"

Last Saturday started the Circuit Catala de Funboard 2008 after 4 weekends without wind.
The first event, " Mas Pinell X-Tram-08" with disciplines of Wave and Freestyle according to the sea conditions.




The Windfinder forecasts predicted Mestral of 30 knots, that allowed to celebrate the freestyle event.

A total of 21 raiders of the competition were called at 9AM. with 5 degrees of air temperature but with a sunny day.
After the registration and the skipper meeting at 11AM, begins the first heat with a constant wind of 25 knots.

The heats of 8 minutes were transcurring fast and with a good organization, showing good manoeuvres of high level and really beautiful.
The final of the simple elimination confronted the raiders Ramon Pastor E-72 (Tabou, Gaastra), Eric Sanllehy CAT-1111 (F-2-North Sails) JL.Piñana E-24 (Tabou, Gaastra) and Aleix Sanllehy CAT-555 (F-2-North Sails).
The level of these raiders was very high showing a variety of manoevers and making a good show in the beach.
In the final heat Eric Sanllehy CAT-1111 (F-2 North Sails) was imposed as the winner after a very high Shaka executed with a magnificent precision, also doing Air Flaka, Goyter, Clew Flirts Puñeta... completeing hir repertoire; followed by JL.Piñana E-24, Ramon Pastor E-72 team (Tabou, Gaastra) in second and third position, and Aleix Sanllehy CAT-555 (F-2 North Sails) in the fourth.

In view that the wind was still perfect stabled, the race director decided to start the double elimination. .
After the corresponding sleeves came into the end where the 4 raiders repeated the same positions.
At the final of the double, Eric CAT-1111 ( F2/ North Sails) beat their opponents another time with an excellent heat and finish as the winner of the Mas Pinell X-Tram-08.
