Alice Arutkin wins the Extreme Glisse title 2008

Our French youngster Alice Arutkin (North Sails) just took another title for North Sails in France.
The French championchips for 16-20 were in Mers-les bains in the north of France!
3° Celcius only and 12-20 knots offshore gave the chance to the young riders to race on the last day!
4 races and 4 victories for Alice who has dominated easily her competitors in starts, speed and jibes!
Check out what Alice is saying about her victory:
“I was happy to compete this last day, after one week on parking position. The very inconsistent wind and the flat water were not my favourite conditions and not really my training conditions.
I didn’t really know the potential of my competitors but somebody told me about the speed of Marion Mortefon and Delphine Cousin.
This gave me insurance at the end of the first race, that my speed was not so bad.
After I just had to take care of my starts and my jibes, without stress I could manage the others races.
I think I also had the best sail to win thanks North Sails having sent me the S-type 7,8 valid for this championship (7 battens and 3 cams).
Light in my arms, reactive and super fast this great sail gave me a real advantage.
I’m happy to win this year again and for the 3rd time the French title Extreme Glisse 16-20 years old and I’ll be there next year!”
